FAQs
Frequently asked question

Is the Total Gym Press Bar worth buying if I already own a Total Gym incline trainer?

Absolutely. The Press Bar significantly expands your workout variety by adding military-style shoulder press exercises to your routine. It attaches directly to your Total Gym's bottom rails, requiring no extra equipment. If you want to target your shoulders, upper back, and triceps more effectively while benefiting from spinal decompression during pressing movements, it's a worthwhile and affordable upgrade to your existing setup.

Where can I buy the Total Gym Press Bar and does it come with a warranty?

The Total Gym Press Bar is available directly through the official Total Gym website and authorized retailers. Purchasing from an authorized source ensures you receive genuine parts and applicable warranty coverage. We recommend checking the product page for current warranty details, promotions, and return policy information before purchasing to ensure complete peace of mind with your accessory investment.

What muscles does the Total Gym Press Bar target?

The Press Bar primarily targets your shoulders, upper back, and triceps. By mimicking a military or shoulder press movement, it engages the deltoids, trapezius, and rear shoulder muscles. The ergonomic wide and narrow grip options allow you to shift muscle emphasis slightly, giving you more control over how you train your upper body during each session.

How does the inverted design of the Press Bar benefit my workouts?

The inverted press design allows you to perform pressing exercises while effectively unloading your spine. This reduces compression typically associated with traditional overhead pressing. It also opens up the shoulder joint, allowing for a more natural range of motion. This makes it an excellent option for users who experience discomfort with standard overhead presses or those recovering from minor shoulder or back issues.

How do I attach the Press Bar to my Total Gym incline trainer?

The Press Bar attaches directly to the bottom rails of your Total Gym incline trainer. No additional tools or complicated setup are required. Simply secure the attachment to the rails following the included instructions, and it's ready to use. Always ensure the attachment is firmly locked in place before beginning your workout to maintain safety during exercises.

What grip options does the Total Gym Press Bar offer?

The Press Bar features both wide and narrow ergonomic grip positions. The wide grip places greater emphasis on the outer shoulders and upper back, while the narrow grip shifts focus more toward the triceps and inner deltoids. Having both options on a single attachment lets you vary your training stimulus without needing multiple accessories, making your workouts more versatile and effective.
