The Life Fitness E5 Elliptical Cross-Trainer gives you an electronically adjustable stride from 18 to 24 inches, so you can choose a shorter or longer movement without changing machines. Its smooth elliptical path is designed around Life Fitness biomechanical research to provide a natural-feeling motion for comfortable, total-body training.
That adjustable stride is one of the defining advantages of the E5 elliptical cross trainer. You can vary the length of each step to match your preferred movement and workout style, making the Life Fitness E5 a versatile choice for users who want more flexibility than a fixed-stride elliptical can provide.
WhisperStride™ Technology uses maintenance-free ball bearings to reduce friction and help keep operation nearly silent. Multi-grip moving handles add upper-body involvement while putting stride-length and resistance controls within easy reach.
Change Stride and Resistance Without Breaking Rhythm
The Life Fitness E5 puts key workout adjustments close to your hands. Use the controls on the multi-grip moving handles to change stride length and resistance while continuing your workout, and use the Activity Zone to focus training on different muscle groups.
Whether you're looking for steady cardio, interval-style training or targeted lower-body work, the Life Fitness E5 elliptical gives you several ways to vary your workout. Total Body Trainer and Leg Sculptor programs are designed to help focus training on different muscle groups, while the moving handles provide a full-body elliptical motion.
Contact heart-rate sensors on the stationary and moving handles, along with Polar-compatible telemetry, help you monitor workout intensity. Oversized non-slip pedals with cushioned inserts provide a stable platform, while WhisperStride™ Technology helps keep the E5 elliptical cross trainer quiet during home workouts.

The E5 is available with the Go Console or Track Connect 2.0. The Go Console keeps things straightforward with 13 pre-loaded workouts, 2 user profiles and simple LCD feedback. Track Connect 2.0 adds Bluetooth Low Energy, Apple Watch® and Samsung Galaxy Watch® connectivity, Life Fitness Connect app integration, FTMS support and an integrated smartphone/tablet rack.
Both consoles provide contact heart-rate monitoring and Polar-compatible telemetry. Bluetooth heart-rate strap support requires Track Connect 2.0.
