About TRX Training

TRX was created by Randy Hetrick while he was an active Navy SEAL looking for a way to maintain his fitness in less than optimal conditions. While deployed in a warehouse in Southeast Asia with limited equipment and too much time to kill, he used parts from a parachute, a jiu-jitsu belt, and a good portion of creativity to build the first suspension trainer. That improvised tool became the foundation for an entirely new fitness methodology. Hetrick left the military in 2001, developed the product further, and officially founded TRX in San Francisco in 2005.

By 2007 the US Marine Corps had adopted TRX FORCE as a military training program, and by 2009 the system had more than one million users in over 60 countries.
