Description

Throwdown HIITMill Treadmill with HIIT Console

From the creators of some of the most demanding workouts in the gym comes the Throwdown® HIITMill, a self-powered speed and strength training machine built to redefine high-intensity interval training. Unlike standard treadmills, the HIITMill is engineered to deliver sled-style resistance, allowing users to push, drive, sprint, and grind against adjustable resistance for unmatched metabolic and muscular demand.

Purpose-built for HIIT circuits and athletic performance training, the HIITMill combines the benefits of speed work, agility training, lateral movement, and resisted running—all in a compact footprint that’s far more space-efficient than traditional sleds or turf lanes. Every interval becomes harder, faster, and more effective, creating workouts members truly love to hate.

FAQs
Frequently asked question

What is the weight capacity of the StairMaster HIITMill treadmill?
The HIITMill supports users up to 350 lbs. Built on an 11-gauge welded steel frame with corrosion-resistant powder coating, it is a commercial-grade machine designed for high-traffic training facilities, CrossFit boxes, and performance studios where multiple athletes use it daily at high intensities.

Is the StairMaster HIITMill good for HIIT workouts?
Yes, and this is precisely what it was built for. Unlike a conventional treadmill where a motor drives the belt at a set speed, the HIITMill is entirely self-powered with a fixed 11-degree incline and a magnetic resistance brake you control with a lever. You drive the belt with your own legs against both gravity and adjustable resistance simultaneously, which makes every interval significantly more demanding than the equivalent effort on a flat motorized treadmill. It captures the training stimulus of sled pushes, hill sprints, and speed drills in a single compact footprint.

What exercises can you do on the StairMaster HIITMill?
Far more than on a standard treadmill. The 23" wide belt and extended side rails open up hill walking with and without resistance, hill running sprints, forward sled-style pushing at high and mid rail positions, reverse walking for knee extension work, lateral lunges, lateral shuffle drills, karaoke drills, and agility pattern work. The dual accessory attachment points on the frame also allow resistance band and strap-based pulling movements, though accessories are sold separately. The multi-grip handlebars offer high, mid, and low positioning for different pushing angles.

How does the magnetic resistance brake work on the HIITMill?
A lever on the machine controls a magnetic brake that increases or decreases the resistance applied to the flywheel underneath the belt. At low resistance the belt moves relatively freely, making it suitable for lighter users, running sprints, and speed drills. As you increase resistance, the belt fights back harder with every step, closely replicating the feel of driving a loaded sled on turf. The key difference from a sled is that you stay in one place, allowing the same training stimulus in a fraction of the floor space.

What does the HIIT console track and what connectivity does it offer?
The included StairMaster HIIT console has a backlit display showing time, distance, calories, pace, and heart rate. It offers programmable workouts by time interval and calorie interval, connects to your phone via Bluetooth for workout saving and sharing, and supports ANT+ connectivity for heart rate strap pairing and leaderboard display software in group training environments. It is a performance-focused console designed for intensity tracking rather than entertainment streaming.

Is the HIITMill better for lateral training or pushing drills compared to the HIITMill X?
The HIITMill is the stronger choice for lateral training. Its standard treadmill belt and extended side rails create less belt friction, making lateral shuffles, karaoke drills, and agility footwork patterns more fluid and natural than on the HIITMill X. Lighter users, generally those under 110 lbs, can also walk and run freely without needing to push off the rails, making the HIITMill the more accessible option for a wider range of athletes in a group or circuit setting.

How does the StairMaster HIITMill differ from the HIITMill X?
Both machines share the same frame, incline, belt width, console, and resistance system. The HIITMill uses a standard treadmill belt and has longer side rails, making it superior for lateral drills and accessible to lighter users. The HIITMill X upgrades to a 3mm PVC cushioned turf belt for significantly more traction during heavy pushing, adds Farmers Carry lift arms that can hold up to 100 lbs of weight plates per side, raises the weight capacity to 500 lbs, and is compatible with plastic field cleats. If your training focus is sled simulation and loaded carries, the HIITMill X is the right choice. If your focus is speed work, agility drills, and interval running, the HIITMill is the better fit
